News on Our Green Social Prescribing Fair!

Updated: Aug 12, 2023

On Thursday 27th July Thriving Streatham in collaboration with Streatham AT Medics - Operose Health Group and Streatham PCN hosted our first Green Social Prescribing Fair on Streatham Common Park opposite the Rookery Cafe between 11-5 pm.

The event connected patients to services that can offer emotional and practical support while tackling health inequalities and exploring how green space can improve mental health wellbeing.

Huge thanks go to Vicky Preet Operations Manger for Streatham Common Cooperative

It was our first event attended by Francesca from Kings College Hospital Breast Screening services and Fran from In Health.

We look forward to future collaborative work!

The Lambeth Wellbeing bus was present and many patients accessed Citizens Advice for practical support with housing and finances.

Thank you to all the services that hosted stalls, Simi Solomon representing st Margarets Hub

A community hub in Streatham Hill working with local residents to increase social connection, provide accessible spaces and intergenerational activities that create a sense of belonging, improve well being and reduce loneliness and isolation.
